This 6-day, 60-hour CLEET accredited course is intended to create minimally qualified SWAT entry operators imbued with a basic skillset, mindset, and knowledge base which will make them eligible to continue their development with their assigned teams. A Special Operations Officer with a strong base in the fundamental knowledge, skills and abilities required of the modern tactical officer will be able to take on more advanced learning topics from his host agency and from outside training sources. The course meets the minimum hours required to satisfy TCOLE catalog number 3301.
Topics include: Marksmanship & Weapons Handling, History & Role of SWAT Officers & Teams, Mission Planning, Intelligence Gathering & Analysis, Task Organization & Tactical Leadership, Combined Operations Concepts, Employment of Technological Assets, Modern CQB Theories, Warrant Service, Small Unit Tactics, Vehicle Operations, Basic Trauma Care Skills, NFDD & Less Lethal Employment, among others.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Students unable to meet the course marksmanship standards will not receive a SWAT school certificate, but rather a cert for a 20-hour firearm applications course and one for a 40-hour tactical operations course. Students should familiarize themselvees with the EAG Tactical MEU (SOC) qualification course of fire prior to arrival at the school. This COF is the class standard and must be passed with a score of 80 points or higher to receive a SWAT school certificate. Your enrollment of yourself or your personnel is your recognition of the standard and the certificate policy stated above.
A packing list will be sent to students upon registration.
Registration is open only to certified law enforcement officers and military personnel. A refund fee of 5% will be assessed for any unqualified person who registers for the course.
